Director, Joe McConnell, is a dedicated legal professional specialising in criminal defence and traffic law. Beginning his career in 2015, Joe has built a reputation for his relentless commitment to his clients, underpinned by a keen eye for detail. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Communications, with majors in Journalism and Public Relations (Honours), as well as a Bachelor of Laws. Joe’s diligence was recognised nationally in 2020 when he was listed among the top 10 in the “Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30” Criminal Law category.

Joe’s experience is extensive, covering hundreds of cases that include serious charges such as murder, rape, robbery, and drug trafficking. Notably, Joe played a significant role in the landmark Court of Appeal decision of R v Dayney [2020] QCA 264, which resulted in an overturned murder conviction and ordered retrial due to a highly specific legal argument. Over the years, Joe has forged strong relationships with some of Queensland’s most esteemed barristers, allowing him to assemble an exceptional legal team for every case.
